Microscopy Workshop Flyer June 2025

Workshop on Scanning Electron Microscopy/Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS): Hands-on training of sample preparation and topographic, morphological, and compositional analyses

This workshop is designed to introduce a new advanced variable-pressure SEM/EDS imaging and chemical analysis system and its capability/applications to researchers in the fields of biological, civil/bio engineering, chemical/material, and food/nutritional sciences.   More specifically, this workshop will provide participants with demos and hands-on training on the new SEM/EDS system and preparation of samples (participants’ own sample of interest is recommended), and how to obtain image and/or elemental analysis data from various types of samples.

Wednesday, June 11th - Thursday, June12th

9:00 am - 4:30 pm

Beadle Center, UNL City Campus

75.00* per person  |  14 Participants

*The fee covers sample preparation and SEM/element analysis of your sample, along with lunch on June 11. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sample.
