Instrument Reservation - Facility Online Manager

Located on the first floor of the George W. Beadle building, the Morrison Microscopy Core Research Facility has state of the art imaging systems including light/fluorescence microscopes, confocal laser scanning microscopes and electron microscopes. The microscopy core facility will provide strong technical support for multi-disciplinary research in the state of Nebraska. We will also provide services, teaching and training for university research communities.

Supported by: 1) The Nebraska Research Initiative; 2) Federal funding by NIH COBREs, including NCV and NRBC, and NCIBC (currently, P20 GM113126); 3) A private donation from the Ken Morrison Family; 4) NU Foundation/IANR/ARD grants; and 5) usage/service fees.

For new users of this core:

If you are a new user to the Microscopy core and need to use one of the image tools of the core, please register as an internal or external user on our “facility online management” program (FOM) using the following link: http://fommcrf-biotech.unl.edu/fom/register. You may also contact the core director, Dr. Y. Joe Zhou by email yzhou2@unl.edu or via phone at 402-472-5935 to schedule a time to use one of the systems or to have a training session. In order for us to assist you efficiently, we need to have some background information about your research project(s) related to microscopy so that we can identify which imaging system is the best fit for your experiment and what kind of training is needed. We will follow up your request and schedule an appointment with a core specialist to discuss some specifics on sample preparation, imaging collections or training for using one of the systems in the Microscopy core.
