The UNL Center for Biotechnology offers an exciting course for those interested in cutting-edge research and technology through its Core Facilities. You will larn how to leverage advanced scientific equipment and resources that support groundbreaking research in life sciences.

📍 In-person at Beadle Center | Usually run Tues/Thurs 9:00 - 10:15 am

 Why Take This Course? 
You’ll get hands-on exposure to state-of-the-art research technologies used in:
- Bioinformatics
- Cryo-Electron Microscopy (CryoEM)
- Flow Cytometry
- Microscopy
- Proteomics & Metabolomics
- Single Cell Genomics
- Plant Phenotyping

Each class session will feature expert faculty sharing their knowledge and guiding you through the principles and practical applications of these technologies. You will get specialized hands-on labs and informative lectures each week. Additionally, you will tour cutting-edge research spaces like the Automated Greenhouse in the Plant Phenotyping Facility.


Completion Bonus:  
Successfully complete the course and earn a $500 voucher. The course is mainly lecture-based with mandatory attendance; therefore, we offer a $500 voucher to students who pass the course to get hands-on experience working with/in any of the Nebraska Center for Biotechnology Cores.
